ArcelorMittal Brasil is a signatory of the United Nations Organization (UNO) Global Compact and also acts towards the realization of the Development Objectives of the Millennium, defined by the UNO in 2000.
The Company was one of the first ones to sign the Enterprise Pact for Integrity and against Corruption, an initiative of the Ethos Institute of Company Responsibility and the UN Program for Development, among other entities. The Pact establishes guidelines to be followed by institutions aiming at ensuring an ethical relation with the Public Power utilities.
Besides severely following the guidelines proposed by the Declaration of the International Labor Organization (ILO) on fundamental principles and rights at work, ArcelorMittal Brasil repudiates child labor and extends its position to its business partners and communities. There is no operation in the company that offers a risk of child labor.
