Mr. Agarwal is the Executive Vice President Finance and Corporate Controller of Mittal Steel and has over 28 years of experience in steel and related industries. He was previously CFO of Ispat International where he was responsible for the financial strategy of the Company and was chief coordinator of its prior activities in the capital markets. Mr. Agarwal has also led the finance and accounting functions of the Company across all the operating subsidiaries.

His immediate previous assignments have been as President and Chief Executive Officer of GSX.Com Inc. and Principal at McKinsey & Company, where he worked from 1985 until 2000.

He was president of the Brazilian Steel Institute (IBS) and of the Latin-American Institute for Iron and Steel (Ilafa), from 2003 until 2004.
