ArcelorMittal Brazil is the best remunerator company in Brazil, according to the guide "As Melhores Empresas para Você Trabalhar/2007"(The best companies to work for in 2007), issued by the Brazilian magazines Exame and Você S/A. ArcelorMittal Brazil has also been mentioned among the top 150 companies to work for.
According to the publication, an aggressive policy implemented by Human Resources at ArcelorMittal Brazil has determined the choice as the best remunerator. "The company pays salaries above the average of the market and the result participation plan might provide up to four extra salaries along the year. The Result Participation calculation involves individual, sectorial and global goals which are extensively explained so that there are no doubts left. The numbers are discussed in weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings." the Magazine reports.
The publication informs that the benefit package includes awards for teams who suggest ideas, scholarships for employees and payment of extra bonus for vacation.
According to the Magazine, from an institutional point of view, ArcelorMittal Brazil is making an effort to promote the alignment among all companies of the Group. Such work is based on a fully detailed strategy of communication. "You can do everything in a perfect manner, however, if you don't communicate adequately to your employees, it will not work" the HR vice-president Márcio Mendes, mentions.
