ArcelorMittal Brasil is one of the Ten Best Companies to work for in Brazil, according to the 2008 Guia Você S/A, a guide published by Exame Business Magazine - The Best Companies to Work For. Our company has been on the list of the 150 best companies since 2005, when it was founded, and it was ranked the Best Steelmaking Company this year by the magazine.
According to the magazine, ArcelorMittal Brasil stands out because of its organizational management, its policy of sponsoring and investing in training and education programs for its employees, besides offering an extensive list of benefits, such as a bonus for vacation return, and opportunities to work abroad.
The 2008 "Top Ten Companies" Award Ceremony was held on September 8 in São Paulo. It is important to mention that, to be ranked one of the 10 best companies, ArcelorMittal Brasil competed with 550 other companies from several different business sectors. Of all competitors, the magazine qualified 220 for the last phase of the process. "The 150 companies which are qualified have been improving their management according to their business strategy, regional reality and internal audience, informs the magazine, which partnered up with the Fundação Instituto de Administração (Foundation Institute for Business Administration) in São Paulo to choose the winners.
Performance
ArcelorMittal Brasil had a final score of 85.8 in what the magazine calls Happiness at Work Index (Índice de Felicidade no Trabalho - IFT). According to the survey conducted among its employees, over 92% of them identify with the company, close to 84% of them are satisfied and motivated, 82% approve of their leaders, and 78% believe that they will develop inside the company - the Workplace Quality Index reached 83,8%; and the Quality Index for People Management at ArcelorMittal Brasil is 89,6%.
